The Cost and Meaning of Spiritual Freedom

Freedom means that I am free to choose heaven or hell because God made it possible by sending his Son. No person, no law, no bondage, sin or devil from hell can take away my privilege to choose.

God has deposited within me and every other person born a measure of faith so that we may choose heaven, holiness, righteousness, truth and joy through his Son the Lord Jesus Christ.

Being free means I can choose to live life without the burdens of sin and its penalties because Jesus gives me the ability to choose salvation and his righteousness through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Being free means right now, by faith in Christ, I have abundant eternal life through Jesus Christ my Lord. I am seated in heavenly places where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Being free means I have no obligations to walk after the flesh, the devil nor the world because greater is He who is in me then he who is in the world. Being free means I have now no condemnation because Christ has given me his righteousness by the faith of God within me.

Being free means as God’s sheep I can lie down in his green pastures, drink of his living waters and find rest for my soul.  I have liberty to speak to Him from my heart without shame or fear because I belong to Him.

Being free means I can by faith make deposit into the kingdom of God as I move about in this world through witnessing, serving and benevolence. Being free means I have the ability to deny myself and take up my cross and follow Christ Jesus into whatever path he bids me to come.

Being free means I can love my neighbor as myself because God’s love wells within me. Being free means I can forgive others even as Christ has forgiven me because I have freely received forgiveness from Him and his power resides within me.

Being free means that I do not have to fear my tomorrows because I know God is already there; He is the great I am, the Author and the Finisher of my faith. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He has promised that He would never leave nor forsake me but He will go with me all the way even to the end of the age.

Being free means that I am loved with an eternal love even if or when I am not lovely. Being free includes me when God said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever would believe in him should not parish but have ever lasting life.”

Being free means I have every reason to rejoice, to celebrate and to rest in his peace because I am his daughter in the beloved. Being free means that I am not an orphan and I belong to a great family and the host of heaven watches me and waits for my coming. A mansion is prepared for me among the millions and millions of my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. I am free because my name is there!

Do you want to make your reservations to be there too? This and so much more is available to you but you have to receive his invitation. He is already pursuing you because He wants to write your name in the Book of Life. You can be free too!

Your freedom is free to you but it cost the Lord Jesus everything. God so loved us that He gave his only begotten Son who freely and willingly took up his cross and walked the path his Father God had chosen. Jesus completed his task when he poured out his blood for all humankind. He was raised from the death to life and He forever sits at the right hand of the throne of God in authority to make intercession for all who call on Him. He fights for you with the testimony of his blood. He fights for you through the truth and voice of the Holy Spirit as He bids you to come, be free. Yes, freedom that’s what it is about! Who can rightly refuse freedom?
